Discussion in Latvia
2/4/2025

On February 4th, 2025, Flourish NGO in Latvia hosted an online discussion on mental wellbeing in remote work for youth, bringing together young professionals and stakeholders to discuss key challenges. Participants highlighted isolation, blurred work-life boundaries, lack of feedback, social anxiety, miscommunication, and limited opportunities as major concerns. Burnout among youth workers emerged as a structural barrier, with many struggling to engage. Suggestions for improvement included fostering team cohesion, flexible work systems, regular check-ins, clearer role ownership, and leadership approaches that inform rather than control. The discussion emphasized the need for structural changes alongside individual training to improve transversal skills.
